There are a lot of different standards. Australia uses the Sleeve Index System (SIS). The only good reference to this is in Russell. Dr Russell also kindly allowed me to upload his chapter on piped gas supply which describes this connector. The Quick Connect SIS connectors are not currently available, so personally I wouldn’t spend too much time studying them.
New Zealand doesn't have a standard for connectors, so you can find different connectors even in the same hospital. If you are asked in the exam you should be able to name a connector that you use, and describe its features.
